Pros And Cons

Acer Aspire AS5672WLMi-ATI X1600 laptop notebook features Intel Core Duo T2300(1.66GHz) processor, a 15.4" Wide XGA display, a notebook memory of 1GB DDR2 RAM, 120 GB hard disk drive with 5400 rpm, a DVD with/without R/RW, ATI Mobility, and a Radeon X1600 graphics card. The price is reasonable, there is good graphics capability, and due to the dual core processor is really fast. There is integrated Bluetooth which makes it attractive. For gaming, it borrows 512 MB system memory and improves frame rate. The performance of the video card is impressive. Does get hot with heavy usage. The speaker/microphone/headphone jack in the front is comfortable to plug in. The camera is a nice add on. The technical support and after sales needs some improvement. The wireless card is excellent, the processor/RAM is upgradeable, the graphics card functions smooth, and the 120 GB of hard disk storage is high. Overall, a great buy as the price, and performance are perfectly matched. The Acer Aspire AS3003LCI 1.8 GHz Sempron 3000 + Laptop features a 40 GB Hard Drive, 256 MB RAM, has a CD-RW, DVD-RW, a 15 inch display screen, the battery life is 1.5 hours, and the weight is 6.1 lbs. This laptop is inexpensive. Has some problem with the touchpad and keyboard. The tech support is not up to the mark, and the battery life does not last as advertised. The speed is a bit slow. The Acer Ferrari 4005WLMi (LX.FR406.035) PC Notebook features AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology ML-37 (1MB L2 cache, 2.0 GHz), and a Radeon Xpress 200M Chipset. It has 100 GB Ultra ATA, 5400 rpm hard drive, a 5-in-1 card reader for MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, or xD-Picture Card. A screen is 15.4" WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) TFT LCD and shows up to 16.7 million colors. There is ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700 graphics card of 128 MB DDR memory. It weighs 6.3 lbs (2.9 kg). The looks of this laptop are stunning and with the x700 graphics card, you can play almost any game with the highest of settings. The screen is wide enough and the display resolution is impressive, as well as the vividness of the colors. The Ferrari logo is an attraction; but, even without it, this laptop is a great buy for money. The lid is made of a carbon fiber covered in a plastic resin. If you accidentally drop something on it, then the screen is well protected. The lid does not wobble on the hinges, it feels very sturdy, and closes with a definite click. The ports are well placed. There are USB ports on both sides of the notebook. The headphone jack on the front is convenient, as it does not come in the way of the mouse. Fans are positioned on the sides so the lap is not heated, if placed on the lap. The rubber finish insulates much of the heat, yet after some time, the left side gets very hot, and cannot be placed on the lap. The mouse touchpad also gets very hot. The lock slot is Kensington and secures firmly. The headphone volume is not loud enough. Bluetooth/wireless controls are on the front, which give a strange feeling, especially if one is used to having them near the keyboard. The pricing is a bit on the expensive side; nevertheless, it is a great buy anytime.
