Used Laptop Computers - eBay

Based upon the budget you may opt for a used notebook. Instead of visiting physically numerous stores that keep and sell used items, you can find a used notebook computer online by visiting the online marketplace - eBay. You have to register yourself to trade and the procedure is fast, easy, and free. After registration is complete, you have to search for your used notebook amongst the thousands of items offered on sale.

Searching for used notebook on eBay

Searching is simply entering "used notebook" in the Search box on the home page and you will see all the used notebooks that are available for bidding. Alternatively, you can browse by clicking through the lists of titles called Categories until you find the used notebook category. You can further narrow your search by going to the Advanced Search, where you can specify your criteria like category, price, geographic location, and any other special attribute that you are looking for. On your search results page, you will find the number of items found and a matching list of your search criteria. The results can be viewed in the Picture Gallery view, which offers larger, more vivid images. By clicking the matching categories, you can see only used laptops are displayed. However, that list may also be huge. You can further refine your search by selecting the search options like location, where you can specify an exact location from where you want to buy; items listed with PayPal, where only those items listed with PayPal as a payment method are listed, or Buy It Now items, where those items which are available immediately are listed. Other options are completed item listings, where you can find out at what price used laptop notebooks have been sold earlier; items listed as lots, where you can see only items which appear as lots, or all items including store inventory format, where you can view items that are listed exclusively in eBay Stores. There can be listings ending at specific times, where you can view listings that begin and end within a specific timeframe. Lists can also be according to price, where only items within your price range will be listed. You can compare items by checking the box in the left-hand margin for each item you want to compare, by clicking the "Compare" button at the bottom of the list. Item features, shipping costs and seller feedbacks, make comparison easier.

Before bidding or buying used notebook computer on eBay

You must be comfortable with the listing, the item, and the seller. You must consider the starting bid, the current bid, the Buy It Now price, how well the item is described, condition of the item, shipping costs, seller's payment options, and the seller's feedback rating. Understand that if the item is geographically located outside your country, then the shipping times can be affected by customs inspections due to import regulations. It is your responsibility to pay all import duties, taxes and brokerage fees. You should also check out whether a used notebook could be legally imported in your country.

Bidding and buying a used laptop on eBay

You can place a bid by entering the maximum amount that you would like to spend on that item. eBay will bid upto your maximum amount for you. If some other bidder bids more than you did before the listing ends, then eBay will send you an email to inform you. Some sellers allow you to place your 'Best Offer' for an item. The seller can then accept, decline, or give a counteroffer to you. If you want the selected notebook immediately then you can click on the Buy It Now button at the bottom of the listing. You can confirm your purchase by making the payment immediately, either by PayPal or by any other mode that the seller had specified. It is important to remember that by entering a bid or choosing to click on Buy It Now button, you are entering into a contract with the seller; hence, be very sure about the used notebook and your need for that used notebook before bidding or buying.
