Processor (CPU)

The processor is the brain of the your laptop. It determines the speed and performance at which the commands are executed. You may use any laptop (cheap computer notebook, cheap laptop, laptop, laptop notebook, notebook, notebook computer, gaming notebook, used notebook, used notebook computer, web cam notebook, wireless notebook, refurbished notebook, refurbished notebook computer or a tablet notebook), but you will have to look into the processor specifications and features to ensure a great laptop usage experience. Two major brands of laptop processors are generally used. They are Intel processors and AMD processors.

Intel processors for laptop notebooks

Intel® Pentium® M processor. The Intel® Pentium® M Processor, in conjunction with the Intel® 915 Express Chipset Family and the Intel® PRO/Wireless Network Connection, is a key component of Intel® Centrino® Mobile Technology. It delivers outstanding mobile performance and low-power enhancements that enable a variety of laptop designs so you can find the one that fits your mobile lifestyle.
Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 processor. The Mobile Intel® Pentium 4 Processor family combines high performance for today's multimedia and multithreaded applications with the convenience of a portable form factor.

Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 HT Processor. This processor supports Hyper-Threading Technology. Hyper-Threading Technology (HT Technology) requires a computer system with an Intel® Processor supporting HT Technology and an HT Technology enabled chipset, BIOS, and operating system. Performance will vary depending on the specific hardware and software you use.
Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor. This processor does not feature hyper-threading technology. It supports low power technologies, fixed mobile solutions thermal guidelines, dual independent display, support for USB 2.0 and USB 1.0 peripherals, Flip Chip PGA packaging technology, and deep sleep states for dynamic power management.

AMD processors for laptop notebooks
